In March , The Aces Up Your Sleeve (a subsiduary of the Gastro Gaming Company Ltd) approached Regent Inns plc about the possibility of providing them with a totally customised pub poker solution. Over the course of the summer, Regent Inns confirmed that they would like their three leading brands; Walkabout, Jongleurs and Bar Risa to be involved and shortly after sponsorship packages were secured with Budweiser and PartyPoker. A brand was quickly established, PlayPubPoker.co.uk and a launch date of mid October was set to coincide the promotional campaign with the latter stages of the Rugby World Cup, a peak time for most of their portfolio of bars. On 22nd October 2007, PlayPubPoker.co.uk launched nationwide.
